This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Accounts Payable based in India.

This is a senior finance leadership role responsible for overseeing a global Accounts Payable organization within a rapidly scaling, remote-first environment.
You will lead operational execution across vendor payments, expense management, credit card reconciliation, and broader AP support activities.
The role combines people leadership with process transformation, financial controls, compliance, and operational excellence.
You will play a key role in strengthening scalable finance operations and supporting both organic and inorganic business growth.
Close collaboration with Procurement, FP&A, Legal, Tax, and other global stakeholders will be essential to optimizing purchase-to-pay processes.
You will also drive automation, standardization, audit readiness, and continuous improvement across multiple entities and currencies.
This opportunity is well suited to an experienced AP leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational oversight in a global organization.

Accountabilities
  • Lead daily global Accounts Payable operations, including vendor disbursements, expense management, credit card reconciliations, and AP support.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing Accounts Payable team, establishing clear KPIs, performance expectations, and professional development plans.
  • Oversee AP-related month-end close activities, including sub-ledger-to-general-ledger reconciliations, expense accruals, and balance-sheet flux analysis.
  • Standardize end-to-end AP operating procedures and maintain comprehensive, current process documentation across multiple entities.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit activities, ensuring timely responses to audit requests and accurate preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.
  • Partner with Procurement, FP&A, Legal, Tax, and other functions to optimize purchase-to-pay workflows, vendor onboarding, and overall finance operations.
  • Resolve complex vendor escalations and internal payment inquiries while maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, process redesign, and technology-enabled solutions.
  • Support the organization’s continued growth by building scalable AP processes, controls, and operating practices capable of supporting evolving business requirements.
  • Ensure strong financial governance, compliance, accuracy, and operational discipline across the global AP function.
Requirements
  • 12+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years managing Accounts Payable managers within a large US multinational organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise ERP and finance platforms such as Oracle, Workday, Navan, or comparable systems.
  • Deep knowledge of US operations, US GAAP, SOX controls, multi-currency disbursements, and international tax compliance.
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes, month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, vendor management, and financial controls.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams, including setting KPIs, managing performance, and building talent.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and process-improvement capabilities.
  • Experience managing high-volume US vendor portfolios is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with 1099 compliance and withholding requirements is an advantage.
  • Experience leading automation, RPA, or finance transformation initiatives within a global SaaS or technology environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US and international tax and statutory requirements, including GST and TDS, is desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, globally distributed environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for team meetings, projects, or other business-related activities.
  • The role is open to candidates based in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, or Delhi.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience, skills, and role responsibilities.
  • Remote work opportunity from India.
  • Generous paid time off.
  • Parental and wellness leave.
  • Healthcare benefits.
  • Retirement savings program.
  • Opportunities to work with global teams and senior business stakeholders.
  • Significant leadership scope across a global Accounts Payable organization.
  • Opportunities to drive automation, process transformation, and operational excellence.
  • Professional development and career-growth opportunities.
  • An inclusive, globally connected work environment.
  • Occasional travel opportunities for team and project collaboration.
