About the role

The Maintenance Apprentice is an entry-level position designed to provide hands-on training and practical experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Working under the guidance of experienced Maintenance Technicians and department leadership, the Maintenance Apprentice assists with preventive maintenance, basic equipment repairs, troubleshooting, installations, and general facility maintenance.

This position provides an opportunity to develop mechanical, electrical, and technical skills while learning proper maintenance procedures, equipment operation, and workplace safety practices. The Maintenance Apprentice is expected to demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, follow instructions and safety requirements, maintain a dependable work ethic, and progressively develop the skills necessary to perform maintenance tasks with greater independence.

What you'll do

• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Related experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
• Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
