About the Supervisor, Software Engineering Position:

The Supervisor, Software Engineering provides both hands-on technical contribution and day-to-day leadership for the design, development, delivery, operation, and support of Avalon’s software products and services. This role is accountable for actively contributing to code, architecture, and design decisions alongside the team, while also guiding and developing a high-performing Software Engineering team to ensure reliable delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality technology solutions aligned with business priorities. The Supervisor is deeply invested in the growth of the people they work with, providing regular mentorship, coaching, and career development opportunities so team members find fulfillment and see a clear path forward in their careers. The Supervisor also supports recruitment, retention, and career development within the team. This position is eligible for remote work, but quarterly travel will be required to Avalon's corporate office located in Tampa, Florida.
