About the RoleThe Public Space Attendant plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of public spaces throughout the resort. This position helps ensure that guests have a pleasant and enjoyable experience while using our facilities.
The Public Space Attendant is responsible for monitoring public areas, completing cleaning tasks, addressing concerns as they arise, and providing assistance to guests when needed. By helping maintain a welcoming environment, this role contributes to guest satisfaction and supports the positive image and reputation of Shanty Creek Resorts.
Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a customer service, housekeeping, custodial, or public space maintenance role preferred.
Preferred QualificationsCertification in First Aid or CPR.
Experience in hospitality, tourism, recreation, or a related environment.
ResponsibilitiesConduct regular inspections of public areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
Perform routine cleaning tasks, including trash collection, restroom maintenance, surface sanitization, and general upkeep of assigned areas.
Assist guests with questions and provide information about resort facilities and local attractions when needed.
Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or hazards to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to support a clean, safe, and welcoming guest environment.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
SkillsStrong communication skills are important for interacting with guests and responding to their needs in a professional and helpful manner.
Attention to detail is essential to ensure that public spaces remain clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Time management skills are necessary to prioritize tasks and complete daily responsibilities efficiently.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team helps ensure smooth daily operations and a positive guest experience.
First Aid or CPR certification is preferred and may help the Public Space Attendant respond appropriately in emergency situations.
