Senior AWS Devops Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to design, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications at global scale. You will take ownership of highly available AWS environments, driving reliability, security, and operational excellence across complex platforms. As part of an international engineering environment, you will collaborate with software teams, architects, and technical leaders to improve deployment workflows and developer experience. The position combines hands-on technical execution with strategic infrastructure improvements, enabling scalable and resilient cloud solutions. You will work with modern cloud-native technologies, automation practices, and Infrastructure as Code approaches. Accountabilities:

The Senior AWS DevOps Engineer will be responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving secure, scalable, and reliable cloud platforms while enabling efficient software delivery processes. The role requires strong ownership of infrastructure, automation, and operational excellence across production environments.

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
  • Build, improve, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support reliable automated deployments across multiple environments.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Apply cloud security best practices, including IAM management, secrets handling, vulnerability remediation, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and technical leadership to improve platform scalability, deployment processes, and developer experience.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced DevOps professional with a strong background in AWS cloud environments, automation, and modern infrastructure practices. You should be comfortable working independently, solving complex technical challenges, and collaborating with distributed engineering teams.

  • 7+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing and operating production workloads on AWS, including services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, RDS, S3, Route 53, and Auto Scaling.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent solutions.
  • Solid experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Strong production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience implementing observability solutions using tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar for automation purposes.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, DNS, VPNs, load balancing, and cloud architecture best practices.
  • Experience supporting high-availability production systems and optimizing cloud costs is a plus.
  • Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes certifications, or experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux are considered advantageous.
  • Experience with Helm, Kubernetes Operators, FinOps practices, or cloud cost optimization initiatives is a plus.
