M&A IT Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a M&A IT Project Manager based in Ireland.

This role offers the opportunity to lead critical technology integration initiatives supporting complex merger and acquisition activities.
You will manage end-to-end IT integration projects, coordinating multiple workstreams and ensuring successful delivery against strategic milestones.
The position requires a strong combination of project leadership, technical understanding, and stakeholder management skills.
You will work closely with technical teams, business leaders, and end users to drive alignment and execution throughout the integration lifecycle.
This is a delivery-focused role where you will solve challenges, manage risks, and ensure seamless transitions across technology environments.
Working remotely within a global setting, you will contribute to high-impact transformation projects requiring strong organization and communication skills.

Accountabilities

The M&A IT Project Manager will be responsible for leading complex IT integration programs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. The role requires strong ownership of execution, coordination across teams, and proactive management of risks and dependencies.

  • Lead end-to-end execution of complex, phased IT integration programs related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Translate business and technical objectives into structured project plans, timelines, and actionable delivery strategies.
  • Build and manage detailed project plans across multiple concurrent workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users throughout the integration lifecycle.
  • Manage dependencies, remove blockers, and drive progress toward key project milestones.
  • Maintain RAID logs and actively track risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies across workstreams.
  • Escalate challenges when required and implement practical solutions to keep delivery on schedule.
  • Provide clear status updates, reports, and insights to leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment and support effective decision-making throughout all project phases.
  • Ensure project delivery follows internal governance standards, compliance requirements, and regulatory expectations.
Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced IT project management professional with a strong background in M&A integrations, technology transformation, or large-scale delivery initiatives. You should have excellent organizational skills, technical awareness, and the ability to manage complex projects involving multiple teams and competing priorities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT project management, including M&A integrations or large-scale technology programs.
  • Proven experience leading multiple parallel workstreams with complex dependencies.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure, cloud platforms, collaboration technologies, and end-user computing environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing phased, multi-entity integrations or similarly complex technology initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating across technical teams, business leaders, and end users.
  • Solid project governance expertise, including planning, tracking, reporting, and RAID management.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, Planner, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present clearly to executive and cross-functional audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience supporting regulated or time-sensitive technology initiatives is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 migrations, identity management, email transitions, and collaboration platform changes is highly desirable.
