Job Description

Description: Position OverviewThe Facility Technician supports the daily operations of the facility by performing minor maintenance, light janitorial duties, and preparing rooms for meetings, events, and programs. This hands-on role is critical in ensuring that the building is clean, safe, well-maintained, and ready for use by staff, tenants, and community members.Scope of ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Duties· Perform minor repairs, including painting, patching, replacing light bulbs, and fixing doors, locks, or fixtures.· Conduct routine inspections of the facility and report larger issues to management.· Assist with preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled.Janitorial Duties· Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot-clean floors as needed.· Empty trash and recycling bins in public/common areas and restrooms.· Clean restrooms and restock supplies as needed.· Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, meeting rooms, and other shared spaces.Room Setup and Teardown· Set up tables, chairs, audio/visual equipment, and other materials according to event or meeting specifications.· Tear down and store furniture and equipment following events.· Ensure rooms are clean and ready for the next use. Requirements: · High school diploma or equivalent required.· 1+ year of experience in facility maintenance, janitorial services, or related work preferred.· Basic knowledge of tools and facility repair techniques.· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.· Good communication and time management skills.· Flexibility to work evenings or weekends when needed.Work Environment· Work is performed primarily indoors with occasional outdoor tasks.· Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.· May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and tools.
