As HighGround continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced operational leader to help build, standardize, and scale our environmental services platform across multiple brands and markets.
Asbestos & Environmental Services Manager
Position Summary
The Asbestos & Environmental Services Manager is a platform-level operational leadership role responsible for building, growing, and optimizing environmental services across HighGround's portfolio of restoration brands.
This position partners directly with Brand General Managers and executive leadership to improve operational performance, profitability, service-line growth, and consistency across multiple markets. The successful candidate will help develop scalable systems, standardize best practices, improve financial performance, and support the continued expansion of asbestos and environmental services throughout the organization.
We're looking for an experienced operations leader who has successfully built and improved field service organizations while bringing expertise in environmental services, restoration, remediation, or other regulated service industries.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Partner with Brand General Managers to improve operational performance across multiple brands.
- Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and operational excellence within environmental services.
- Monitor business performance using KPIs, dashboards, and financial reporting.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategies, and profitability initiatives.
- Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions that improve consistency and efficiency.
- Support service-line expansion and acquisition integration across the HighGround portfolio.
Process Improvement & Standardization
- Develop and maintain the HighGround "Asbestos-in-a-Box" operating playbook.
- Create standardized SOPs, workflows, and operational best practices.
- Establish consistent estimating, pricing, scheduling, and project management processes.
- Develop KPI reporting and operational dashboards using Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
Leadership & Team Development
- Coach and develop environmental services leaders across multiple brands.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Influence and support operational leaders across multiple businesses without direct authority.
Environmental Services Leadership
- Support brands in growing asbestos abatement, testing, mold remediation, and environmental service offerings.
- Ensure operational consistency while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Develop standardized guidance around environmental licensing, estimating, testing protocols, and service delivery.
- Share operational best practices across the HighGround platform.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA/NESHAP, state asbestos regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Develop audit processes and compliance standards across multiple markets.
- Monitor regulatory changes and support brands in maintaining compliance while reducing operational risk.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of operational leadership within restoration, environmental services, construction, industrial services, or another field-based service organization.
- Demonstrated ownership of P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance.
- Experience leading multiple branches, business units, regions, or geographically dispersed teams.
- Proven success developing SOPs, operational playbooks, and standardized business processes.
- Strong experience using KPIs and operational metrics to improve business performance.
- Experience coaching leaders and building high-performing teams.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence across multiple organizations.
- Experience driving operational improvements that increase revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Working knowledge of environmental services, asbestos, remediation, restoration, or other regulated service industries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading an environmental services division, regional operation, or multi-location business unit.
- Restoration industry experience.
- Multi-state operational leadership.
- Xactimate estimating experience.
- Experience with Power BI, DASH, or similar operational reporting platforms.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or rapidly growing organizations.
