This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of industrial engineering and digital transformation, driving large-scale manufacturing system modernization across complex production environments. You will lead the design and delivery of advanced industrial automation solutions built on AVEVA System Platform and related manufacturing technologies, enabling real-time visibility, efficiency, and control across shop-floor operations. The role combines deep technical architecture ownership with strategic influence across manufacturing execution systems, data integration, and digital twin development. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders in operations, engineering, and IT to optimize production performance and reliability. This position plays a key role in shaping scalable, standardized industrial architectures across multiple sites. It offers a high-impact environment focused on innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in discrete manufacturing ecosystems.
In this role, you will lead the architecture, design, and governance of enterprise-grade industrial automation and manufacturing execution solutions. You will be responsible for building scalable AVEVA-based ecosystems and ensuring seamless integration across shop-floor and enterprise systems.
- Design and develop scalable solutions using AVEVA System Platform for discrete manufacturing environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Architect and maintain object models, templates, and digital twins for manufacturing assets such as robots, CNC machines, and production lines.
- Implement and configure AVEVA MES solutions to monitor OEE, production efficiency, cycle times, and operational KPIs.
- Develop real-time dashboards and shop-floor visualization using AVEVA OMI including Andon systems and production monitoring screens.
- Configure and manage AVEVA Historian for high-speed data acquisition, storage, and analytics.
- Integrate PLCs, SCADA, MES, and ERP systems to enable end-to-end manufacturing data flow and OT/IT convergence.
- Define and enforce architectural standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices for industrial applications.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, downtime causes, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with plant operations, maintenance, automation, and IT teams to optimize manufacturing performance.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, architecture reviews, and production support for critical systems.
This role requires deep expertise in industrial automation systems, manufacturing execution platforms, and enterprise integration within complex production environments.
- 13+ years of overall experience in industrial automation, MES, or manufacturing systems engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise in AVEVA System Platform architecture, configuration, and deployment.
- Proven experience with AVEVA MES and production performance monitoring (OEE, cycle time, downtime analysis).
- Strong working knowledge of AVEVA OMI and operational dashboards.
- Experience with AVEVA Historian and large-scale manufacturing data collection systems.
- Strong SQL skills and ability to work with transactional production and operational datasets.
- Experience integrating OT/IT systems including PLCs, SCADA, MES, and ERP platforms.
- Deep understanding of discrete manufacturing environments (automotive, packaging, OEM, assembly, machining).
- Strong grasp of manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, takt time, micro-stops, and process optimization.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership abilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
