NATIONAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER
Position Location: Cincinnati, OH preferred. Commutable Midwest radius considered.
Level of Responsibility: National Accounts, Exempt
Reports To: VP of Sales

Position Summary
This role is responsible for delivering sales, profitability, and category leadership through strong customer engagement, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration. This position also plays a key role in driving e-commerce growth across the Sugar Foods Retail division—owning execution across dot.com platforms while helping shape future digital capabilities. This conventional / eCommerce mix is hybrid by design.
Primary Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of sales and marketing in the assigned accounts.
• Meet and/or exceed annual financial objectives by driving sales while managing costs.
• Oversee & optimize broker network.
• Optimize the 4 P’s at assigned accounts, product assortment, pricing, placement, & promotions.
• Support optimized supply chain performance in assigned accounts, from forecasting to shelf.
• Lead Digital / eCommerce national accounts management.
• Understand organizational policies and effectively interface with company personnel – exercise Team Principles.
Decision Making Authority
Empowered to exercise independent judgment and discretion within the broad guidelines set by executive leadership. Keeps leadership fully appraised of market conditions, opportunities, obstacles, progress, etc…

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies
• Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the Retail food industry, seed to fork.
• Demonstrable history of delivering superior results in high performance environments, persistence, driven to win.
• 5+ years experience in CPG sales / account management. Branded and Private Brands experience preferred, fresh & center store experience preferred.
• Kroger experience preferred, including:
- A solid working knowledge of the Kroger Enterprise—including its internal systems, processes, and organizational structure.
- Experience with Kroger category management tools, replenishment systems, and promotional planning.
- Ability to navigate Kroger’s divisional structure and build relationships across stakeholders.
• 5 years experience working with or exposure to e-commerce/digital retail platforms (e.g.’s, Amazon, Kroger.com).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent virtual meeting engagement skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Strong financial, digital, and analytical skills, superb organizational skills.
• B.A. or B.S. degree (preferred).
• Travel – 25% minimum.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, customer portal experience, virtual meeting software, eMarketing/eCommerce tools, AI Tools, etc…
