Vice President of Warehouse OperationsPosition SummaryThe Vice President of Warehouse Operations provides strategic leadership and oversight for all warehouse operations across the organization. This executive role is responsible for driving operational performance, financial results, customer service excellence, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across multiple sites.
The role partners closely with cross-functional leaders in Transportation, Sales, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Operations to support company growth, enhance service levels, maximize asset utilization, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership- Provide strategic direction and leadership for all warehouse operations
- Develop and execute operational plans aligned with company objectives and customer requirements
- Establish performance standards and accountability measures across all facilities
- Ensure consistent execution of operational processes, procedures, and best practices
- Foster a culture of safety, service excellence, productivity, and continuous improvement
- Own warehouse P&L performance across all facilities
- Develop and manage annual operating budgets and capital expenditure plans
- Monitor labor, equipment, occupancy, and operating costs to meet profitability targets
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Partner with Finance on forecasting, business cases, and performance analysis
- Ensure operational excellence in delivering on customer service commitments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers
- Participate in customer reviews and business development efforts
- Lead initiatives to improve service levels, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment
- Support customer retention and growth through operational innovation
- Champion a safety-first culture across all warehouse locations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards
- Drive reduction in workplace injuries and workers’ compensation costs
- Maintain compliance with environmental, regulatory, and operational requirements
- Lead, coach, and develop Warehouse Managers and operational leaders
- Build succession planning and leadership development programs
- Partner with Human Resources on employee engagement, retention, and recruiting strategies
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and performance excellence
- Lead process improvement initiatives across all operations
- Utilize KPIs and analytics to drive performance improvements
- Champion technology initiatives including:
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- RF scanning
- Automation
- Labor management systems
- Operational reporting tools
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices
Establish and monitor key performance indicators, including:
- Inventory Accuracy
- On-Time Shipping

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 10+ years of progressive warehouse or distribution leadership experience
- Minimum 5 years in a senior multi-site leadership role
- Proven experience managing multiple operational teams
- Demonstrated P&L ownership and financial management experience
- Experience in 3PL, contract warehousing, transportation, or supply chain operations preferred
