Job Summary
The Assistant Administrator of Hospital-Based Services is responsible for the strategic implementation, operational oversight, and performance optimization of employed and contracted hospital-based physician services across Hospital District entities. This position serves as the primary administrative partner and advocate for hospital-based physicians, ensuring alignment between clinical operations, physician engagement, financial performance, quality outcomes, and organizational strategic priorities. Working collaboratively with physician leaders, hospital executives, and operational departments, this role leads initiatives that improve physician productivity, operational efficiency, patient throughput, quality metrics, health plan performance, and patient experience while supporting the successful development and implementation of existing and new hospital-based service lines, specialties, and strategic growth initiatives across Hospital District entities.
Minimum Job Requirements
Work Experience:
Seven years of progressive leadership experience in operations, physician services or administration. Five years of management experience leading multidisciplinary teams and service line. Experience managing operations, budgets, quality performance, physician engagement, and strategic initiatives in a complex healthcare setting. Experience in an integrated health system, academic medical center, or public hospital district preferred.
License/Registration/Certification:
FACHE, ACMPE, Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE), or an equivalent nationally recognized healthcare leadership certification preferred.
Education and Training:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related healthcare field required. Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), or a related field required.

- Experience improving Star Ratings, health plan quality measures, patient throughput, and operational efficiency.

- Ability to build collaborative relationships with physicians, executives, and multidisciplinary teams.

- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

- Ability to lead multiple complex initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Proficiency with healthcare analytics, performance dashboards, and electronic health record reporting systems.
