This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Power BI Developer & Analytics Engineer based in India.
This is a fully remote, high-impact role focused on building scalable and insightful data products that support strategic decision-making across global teams. You will design and deliver advanced Power BI dashboards and analytics solutions used by both internal stakeholders and external clients in a fast-growing SaaS environment. The role blends technical depth in SQL and BI engineering with strong business understanding to transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Client Success teams to shape data-driven experiences. With exposure to embedded BI, APIs, and cloud data platforms, you will contribute directly to the evolution of a modern analytics ecosystem. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, data-rich environments and enjoys solving real-world business problems through visualization and engineering excellence.
- Design and develop interactive, scalable Power BI dashboards for internal teams and external clients, ensuring clarity, performance, and usability.
- Translate complex business requirements into robust data models and reporting solutions that support decision-making.
- Build, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and reporting datasets for high-performance analytics.
- Implement and support embedded BI solutions using Power BI Embedded, APIs, and scripting (JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Monitor and improve dashboard performance, data accuracy, and user experience through continuous optimization and QA.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Client Success to deliver impactful data solutions.
- Support ad-hoc analysis requests and deliver actionable insights using SQL and BI tools.
- 5+ years of experience in Power BI development, MS SQL Server, and data visualization.
- Strong expertise in SQL development, including query optimization and stored procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI tools such as DAX, Power Query, and Power Pivot.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, BI architecture, and UX principles for dashboard design.
- Experience working in SaaS or Fintech environments is highly preferred.
- Hands-on exposure to Power BI Embedded, REST APIs, and Azure services (ADF, ADLS, Azure SQL) is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
