Job Description
Location: Freeport, IL
Schedule:
- Part-Time
- Must be available to provide evening and weekend support as needed.
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Part-Time DME/HME Delivery Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for delivering, setting up, and educating patients on durable medical equipment (DME) and home medical equipment (HME), including oxygen and respiratory equipment.
The ideal candidate has experience in DME/HME delivery, strong customer service skills, and knowledge of oxygen equipment and patient education.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver, set up, and retrieve DME/HME equipment in patient homes, assisted living facilities, and healthcare settings.
- Educate patients and caregivers on the safe and proper use of medical equipment.
- Deliver and support oxygen equipment, including setup and basic troubleshooting.
- Complete delivery documentation, equipment inspections, and required paperwork accurately.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
- Manage daily delivery routes and provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist with warehouse operations, inventory management, and equipment maintenance as needed.
- Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Previous DME/HME delivery experience preferred.
- Experience with oxygen and respiratory equipment strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and transport medical equipment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic computer and mobile device proficiency.
