As a Patient Registration Associate, you will serve as a key member of the patient experience team by ensuring accurate registration, insurance verification, payment collection, and exceptional customer service throughout the patient journey. About the Patient Access Department
The Patient Access Department plays a critical role in coordinating patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and pre-admission requirements. The team supports emergency department access, financial counseling, medical record requests, and serves as a primary resource for patient questions related to appointments, admissions, and hospital procedures.
Key Responsibilities
As a Patient Registration Associate, you will:
- Serve as a liaison between the hospital and patients, ensuring needs are addressed with compassion, professionalism, and efficiency.
- Complete accurate patient registration, demographic verification, and insurance validation.
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other patient payments in accordance with hospital policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and healthcare team members.
Requirements:
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience
- One to three years of customer service, healthcare, registration, or administrative experience preferred.
