Position Title: Foreman/LC
Location: DFW Metroplex, TX

The DG Solutions Foreman is responsible for directing daily field operations while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company quality standards. This position leads field crews performing vegetation management (mowing) and solar installation activities across multiple DG project sites.

The Foreman will drive a company truck, transport trailers and mowing equipment between locations, oversee daily crew assignments, coordinate with the Superintendent, and ensure all field operations remain on schedule. When mowing activities are not required, the Foreman will lead the crew in supporting DG solar installation work. The Foreman is responsible for both performing work and coordinating the daily execution of field activities.



Planning and Job Set-Up

  1. Participate in preconstruction planning, when possible, regarding the project schedule.
  2. Participate in project hand-off meetings and pre-construction meetings.
  3. Explore and advise project team on appropriate methods, materials schedules, and procedures.
  4. Facilitate equipment and personnel mobilization.
  5. Assist in development of project goals.

Project Execution

  1. Complete comprehension of work activities associated with trade.
  2. Coordinate job site workforce for timely project completion.
  3. Coordinate with Superintendent for daily and weekly work assignments and tasks.
  4. Evaluate, plan, and communicate resource needs in a timely manner.
  5. Ensure all materials are properly tested according to specifications and ensure all test results are properly recorded.
  6. Keep ACCURATE and COMPLETE Daily Reports and distribute appropriately.
  7. Take representative Progress Photos
  8. Ensure that SWPPP and/or Best Management Practices are followed.
  9. Ensure project site and company assets are secure.
  10. Always maintain a clean and safe and respectful working environment
  11. Report Red-Lines to PE Daily for As-Built update.
  12. Continuously monitor production rates and address as needed.
  13. Submit complete and accurate Daily Foreman Time Sheets
  14. Submit complete and accurate Equipment Time sheet by deadline dates.
  15. Keep accurate Inventory log and sign out sheets for tools and equipment.
  16. Ensure all receiving tickets are submitted in a timely manner.
  17. Assess and monitor predetermined project goals and milestones.
  18. Coordinate equipment needs with other supervisors.
  19. Understand and monitor the Production Costs to your assigned work activities.
  20. Understand and utilize the Contract Drawings and Specifications
  21. Ensure compliance with the Company’s Loss Control Program and all applicable OSHA regulations.
  22. Complete expense reports for any necessary purchases

Vegetation Management Operations

  1. Lead vegetation management activities at DG project sites.
  2. Drive a company truck and safely transport trailers, mowing equipment, and tools between locations.
  3. Ensure all mowing equipment receives proper inspections and maintenance.
  4. Schedule mowing activities based on project needs and site conditions.
  5. Protect project infrastructure while maintaining site appearance.
  6. When mowing is not required, the Foreman will:
  7. Lead installation crews performing DG solar construction activities.
  8. Coordinate daily installation tasks with project leadership.
  9. Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available before work begins.
  10. Monitor workmanship and quality standards.
  11. Assist with installation activities alongside the crew as needed.

Project Close Out

  1. Assist in the project closeout process.
  2. Demobilize all project resources neatly and orderly.
  3. Participate in the development and completion of preliminary punch list.
  4. Ensure Owner/Architect/Engineer punch list is completed in a timely manner.

Personnel Management & Development

  1. Participate in the Performance Evaluation of project team members.
  2. Foster team camaraderie by mentoring, managing, and motivating crew.
  3. Provide daily management and supervision of field crew members.
  4. Follow approved company policies at it relates to management of AUI employees.
  5. Encourage employees to think & act independently.
  6. Communicate performance standard.

Monitor and Enforce AUI’s Safety Program

  1. Hold JHA meetings for each task daily.
  2. Participate in weekly Toolbox Talks
  3. Promote a safe work attitude.
  4. Be the example of a safe employee.
  5. Maintain a workspace that is clean and organized, free of debris and tripping hazards.
  6. Coordinate closely with Safety Department to make sure our Program (Safety Meetings, Enforcement of PPE Policy, Enforcement of Tie-Off Policy, Subcontractor Safety, etc.) are being followed and enforced.
  7. After reporting an incident to your immediate supervisor participate in determiningcauses, effects, and plan for future prevention.

Troubleshooting and Problem Solving

  1. Maintain, and communicate policies, procedures, and processes that help prevent problems from occurring.
  2. Evaluate the solutions for Safety, Quality, and Cost impact.
  3. Timely inform all necessary personnel of the overall impact of the problem and ensure the proper communication and execution takes place through resolution.
  4. Train others to develop more advanced skills in effective troubleshooting.

Miscellaneous Duties:

  1. Receive Supervisory guidance with respect to overall objectives; operate within department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives and performs additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
  2. Always adheres to company procedures and policies.
  3. Attend and participate in meetings as required.
  4. Provide support on any special projects as requested.
  5. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to Area Manager.
  6. Travel is required; must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  7. Ensure regular and timely attendance.
