Job Description
- Clean all prep equipment, silverware, glassware, and dishes to strict sanitation requirements.
- Operate the dishwasher as needed; keep the dish storage, service line, and prep areas organized and clean.
- Enjoy the fast pace of our restaurant; the dishwasher’s pace is critical to turning tables and keeping up with rushes.
- Keep an eye out for any repair needs; report them as necessary.
- Monitor, empty, and clean all trash and recycling bins.
- Be comfortable standing for long periods of time as well as lifting/loading up to 40 pounds.
- Assist kitchen staff and follow instructions to keep operations moving as smoothly as possible.
- Help us provide a clean, pleasant, and Mellow dining experience for all guests.
- Set all tables with proper plates, glasses, utensils, napkins, and condiments.
- Clear tables when guests are finished (happy) and prepare tables for new arrivals (excited)
- Support wait staff by assisting them with guest needs; refill water and iced tea glasses; replenish utensils.
- Help Mellow Mushroom maintain a clean and sanitary environment; sweep floors, take out trash, and pay attention to all surfaces.
- Keep a clean and sanitary bussing station; take pride in everything you do at work.
