Account Manager in Clifton, New Jersey at Jimmy's Gourmet Bakery

As an Account Manager, you will serve as a primary point of contact for customers, distributors, and brokers. You will work closely with both external clients and internal teams to understand customer needs, coordinate projects, monitor account activity, and ensure successful delivery of solutions. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and brokers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
• Act as a trusted advisor to key customers and provide exceptional customer service.
• Communicate with customers through email, phone, virtual presentations, screen sharing, and in-person meetings.
• Understand customer needs and coordinate the timely delivery of solutions.
• Provide regular updates regarding monthly and quarterly initiatives.
• Track and forecast key account metrics.
• Monitor and analyze customer product usage.
• Identify opportunities to meet customer needs and create additional value.
• Support the onboarding and integration of new clients.
• Coordinate projects and communication between customers and internal departments, including:
• Purchasing
• Research & Development
• New Product Development
• Finance
• Manufacturing
• Assist with product pricing analysis.
• Manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Meet established deadlines and support additional business needs as required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of account management or relevant professional experience preferred.
• Experience providing client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a results-driven environment.
• Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Windows, and Outlook.
