Description:

We are seeking a full-time Production Team Lead to oversee daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. The Production Team Lead is responsible for supporting the overall execution and performance of production activities at a designated location, including workforce management, quality standards, safety compliance, productivity, and the direction of day-to-day operations.

This role requires a results-driven, high-energy, and dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving operational excellence, meeting production goals, and fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead and coordinate daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets are achieved.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and direction to production team members.
  • Train new employees and assist with onboarding, job instruction, and cross-training initiatives.
  • Monitor employee performance, attendance, and adherence to established procedures, communicating concerns to management as appropriate.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative work environment and serve as a resource for production employees.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, quality standards, and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate production goals, safety updates, and operational priorities.
  • Monitor workflow and staffing levels to support efficient production operations and meet production schedules.
  • Troubleshoot routine production issues and coordinate with supervisors, maintenance, quality, and other departments to resolve operational challenges.
  • Track and communicate production metrics, including output, efficiency, scrap, and downtime.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend process enhancements to management.
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
  • Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Support inventory control efforts by monitoring material usage and notifying management of shortages or discrepancies.
  • Assist management with scheduling, staffing coordination, and workforce planning activities as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Professional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred, but not required.
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial work.
  • 1+ year of experience leading, training, coordinating, or directing a team.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of production processes, safety procedures, quality standards, and workplace operations.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to perform basic/intermediate math and accurately track production, inventory, labor, and productivity.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
  • Dependable, professional, ethical, safety-focused, and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Willingness to take initiative, accept responsibility, adapt to change, and support team goals.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and use hands to operate tools and equipment.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Safely work around machinery, stairs, and production/warehouse areas.
  • Work in varying temperatures, noise, dust, and other industrial conditions.
  • Must be available to work overtime, extended hours, and weekends as needed.
