About PlayMetrics
PlayMetrics is a fast growing B2B SaaS company revolutionizing the way youth sports organizations operate. Our industry-leading platform is trusted by thousands of clubs, leagues, and governing bodies to manage operations, communication, scheduling, and player development, all in one place.
Note: This is a full-time position, and we are looking for remote candidates and local candidates. Local candidates will work in the office at our Morrisville, NC headquarters, currently hybrid work-from-home three days per week, but subject to the Company’s needs and policies in the future.
The Role
You'll be the senior PMM practitioner on the team: the person who models what good looks like, raises the floor, and does the work. You'll sit inside our Marketing org with strong working relationships across Sales, Growth, CS, and Product. You'll report to our Director of Product & Customer Marketing.
This is not a role focused on shipping assets on request or coordinating across teams. It's a role for someone who defines how the market understands what PlayMetrics is, how PlayMetrics is positioned, and then builds the systems to communicate that consistently. You will be actively involved in developing the Product Marketing team and its function, with a heavy hand in building the product-to-market operating system.
What You'll Own
Positioning & messaging
- Own positioning at the feature, workflow, and sport-specific level - the strategic frame that tells us how we talk about what we build and why it wins
- Develop and maintain a messaging architecture that holds up across the website, sales conversations, product launches, and executive presentations
- Keep positioning current as the product and competitive landscape evolve
- Validate and maintain a seasonality calendar for key sports informing GTM strategy
- Partner with Growth and Brand to translate that framework into campaigns, events, and content
- Partner with Sales to translate that framework into sales-ready materials that influence Sales behavior
Feature launches
- Partner with Product to run the launch system: triage incoming features by GTM weight, set the approach, coordinate asset production, drive readiness across Sales, BDRs, Growth, and CS, and shape user experiences
- Build launch kits - messaging, battlecard, one-pager, email brief, web brief - that teams actually use on day one
- Track launch outcomes: adoption signals, sales usage, and what's working vs. what needs to change
Competitive intelligence
- Build and run a systematic CI program - not a quarterly slide. A living system that delivers usable insights on a cadence.
- Translate competitive signals into clear action: what we say differently, which objections to handle, where we press
- Synthesize and communicate evolving industry insights
- Keep battlecards current across key competitors
- Own the translation of win/loss analysis understand why we win and why we don't, and feed those findings back into positioning and enablement
Sales enablement
- Own the feature profile library: the knowledge base that makes every GTM conversation sharper
- Write and maintain battlecards, objection handling guides, feature one-pagers and sport-specific differentiator sheets
- Partner with Revenue Enablement to measure what's being used and what's not, and iterate accordingly
Customer & market intelligence
? Bring the voice of the customer into everything: positioning decisions, launch priorities, sales narratives
? Synthesize beta feedback, CS field signals, usage data, and win/loss inputs into positioning-relevant insights
? Surface patterns that sharpen how we talk about the product - not just what it does, but the value we provide, why it matters and to whom
PMM operating model
? As the senior PMM practitioner, help define how the function runs - launch frameworks, messaging processes, competitive intelligence rhythms
? Raise the standard for what good PMM output looks like at PlayMetrics
? Be a thought partner to the Director
- Successfully navigate ambiguity, bring structure to complex situations, and take ownership of work from planning through execution.

- 3-6 years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience with real ownership of positioning, launches, and competitive intel

- You connect your work to outcomes. Positioning that doesn't move win rates or adoption isn't interesting to you. You track what works and iterate.
- Strong, clear writer - PMM is a translation function and words are your primary output
- Collaborative but opinionated - you can hold the positioning line while knowing when to flex
