Commercial Locksmith Field Technician

Were seeking a highly skilled Commercial Locksmith Technician in Seattle, WA to service commercial properties. Responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining locks and door hardware, creating and managing master key systems, and operating key machines and related tools. Youll track jobs using electronic dispatch software and should be comfortable with computers and mobile devices. Experience with a variety of lock systems and strong mechanical aptitude are essential.

What began as a locksmith company has grown into a full-service security provider offering locksmithing, video surveillance, electronic access control, and alarm systems. Our work ranges from rekeying individual units to installing access control systems for entire buildings.Many of our clients have worked with us for years. Because we do not provide emergency service, our work is scheduled during regular business hours. Our technicians work in the field at a variety of properties, handling a wide range of locksmith and security projects, and are provided with a company vehicle. We welcome candidates who enjoy hands-on work and want to develop skills in both traditional locksmithing and modern security systems.

Hourly Pay Range: $32 - $42 DOE.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A COMMERCIAL LOCKSMITH FIELD TECHNICIAN:

  • Commercial Locksmith Technician will operate key machines and other power equipment.
  • Create and key Master Key Systems. Simple Master Key Systems, complex Commercial Locksmith Systems as well as keys for major lock manufacturers, including restricted ones.
  • Commercial Locksmith Technician should be able to pin locks for residential and commercial customers.
  • Install, inspect and service various types of doors and security hardware and repair and service lock sets.
  • Ability to install, repair, and maintain Access Control Hardware.
  • Ability to troubleshoot with a variety of variables in situations.
  • Our Commercial Locksmith Technician will carry out their work assigned using our Operating Software and track their work electronically through our Dispatch System.

COMMERCIAL LOCKSMITH FIELD TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Washington Driver's License
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use the necessary tools
  • Must be able to keep a track record of master keying procedures, and keep record of keys
  • Computer skill. Due to the nature of this work, applicants must have a satisfactory knowledge of computer and ability to navigate electronic devices.
  • Good written and oral communications skills to be able to relate information to those concerned
  • Professionalism and excellent customer service skills being professional in dealing with customers.
  • Highly Qualified: Experience and knowledge of different locks and security systems, and the ability to change, repair, maintain, copy, and cut keys.
  • Preferred: Strong analytical skills to help analyze and troubleshoot lock related issues
  • Preferred: Ability to effectively coach individuals on how to use and maintain their system
  • Preferred: Efficiency in interpreting, implementing, and maintaining predefined master key systems
