Job Description
CAS Group Facilitator
The Group Facilitator supports clients in substance use recovery by leading therapeutic and educational groups, conducting individual check-ins, documenting progress, and maintaining a safe and supportive treatment environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups, including relapse prevention, coping skills, mindfulness, and CBT/DBT skills
- Conduct client check-ins and support treatment and recovery goals
- Document group attendance, participation, and client progress
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and recovery-focused group environment
- Manage group dynamics and use de-escalation techniques as needed
- Collaborate with clinical and medical staff regarding client progress and treatment needs
- Participate in treatment team meetings and required trainings
- Maintain client confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements

Requirements:Required Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
- Bachelors degree required
- CAS Certification required
- Minimum 1 year of behavioral health, social services, or substance use treatment experience
- Knowledge of addiction, recovery, and trauma-informed care
- Strong communication, group facilitation, and documentation skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging client situations
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Comfortable using EHR computer systems for documentation
- Availability for weekend groups as needed
