Job Description
The Senior Healthcare Recruiter reports to the System Director, Talent Acquisition and is responsible for the coordination of daily recruitment operations and workflow monitoring such as recruitment strategies, systems, and processes that result in the attraction and selection of the best talent for the organization. Provides ongoing guidance, education, and training to ensure standardization, consistency, and recruitment improvement, selection, candidate management and hiring efficiencies. Coordinates recruitment activities for assigned areas of service including advertising, sourcing, screening, interviewing, scheduling, testing, referring qualified candidates to hiring managers and providing compensation recommendations to help preserve internal equity.
SPECIFIC SKILLS NEEDED
• Provides guidance and understanding of recruitment, selection policies, procedures and employment laws to candidates and hiring managers.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of staff, management, and candidates.
• Leading and mentoring junior recruiters and other team members.
• Implementing strategies to attract and hire a diverse workforce.
• Good organization and tracking skills. Ability to demonstrate accomplishments in a concrete manner.
• Ensuring accuracy in job postings, candidate evaluations, and documentation.
• Ability to analyze recruitment metrics and make data-driven decisions.
• Identifying issues in the recruitment process and developing effective solutions.
• Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking System (ATS) software to manage the recruitment process.
• Familiarity with HR management systems and other recruitment-related technology.
• Must have ability to effectively negotiate, communicate and present information and respond to questions from hiring managers and candidates.
• Understanding of the healthcare industry, including common roles, qualifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Keeping up to date with labor market trends and best practices in healthcare recruitment.
• Ability to anticipate hiring needs and develop strategic recruitment plans.
• Leading and managing recruitment project from initiation to completion.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree or 7-10 years hospital/healthcare recruitment experience in lieu of degree
• 3-5 years hospital recruitment experience in recruitment, HR generalist or strong HR-related experience in a healthcare setting
• Experience with behavioral-based interviewing
• Professional presentation skills and ability to speak knowledgeably about positions and openings.
• Excellent writing communication skills.
• Demonstrate skill with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
Preferred:
• Certifications: SHRM, CHCR, CDR, CIR, CSSR, PRC
