This contract opportunity is designed for experienced Program and Project Managers who enjoy leading complex initiatives and delivering measurable outcomes. You will oversee projects from initiation through completion while keeping priorities aligned with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations. The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing budgets, identifying risks, and maintaining momentum across multiple workstreams. You will operate in collaborative environments where strong communication and structured execution are essential. Depending on the assignment, you may support technical initiatives, system migrations, data programs, or projects within regulated industries. With a fully remote setup, you can contribute to impactful initiatives from anywhere in the United States.
- Lead projects and programs throughout their full lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, delivery, and closure.
- Define project objectives, milestones, deliverables, timelines, and priorities in alignment with organizational goals.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure responsibilities, dependencies, and deliverables remain clearly defined.
- Manage project budgets, resources, schedules, and competing priorities to support successful delivery.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while proactively addressing issues and dependencies.
- Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies to structure project execution and support iterative delivery.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, project teams, and organizational leadership.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear updates on project progress, risks, decisions, and outcomes.
- Lead multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously while maintaining organization, quality, and delivery focus.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages accountability, transparency, and effective problem-solving.
- Use project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or similar platforms to track activities, milestones, and deliverables.
- Depending on the assignment, support technical initiatives, data management programs, system migrations, or projects within financial services and healthcare environments.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in project management or program management.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating stakeholders across different functions.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong project planning, risk management, budget management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build alignment and navigate competing priorities.
- Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Trello, or similar platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve project issues proactively.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance for assignments where this is required.
- PMP certification or an equivalent project management credential is preferred.
- Experience managing IT or technical projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with data management initiatives and system migrations is a plus.
- Experience within financial services or healthcare environments is preferred.
