Description:

Unified Business Technologies is seeking an experienced Construction Management Representative (CMR) to provide full-time, on-site construction management support for a National Park Service historic rehabilitation project at Freedom Riders National Monument in Anniston, Alabama.

The project includes rehabilitation of the historic Greyhound Bus Depot and Mural Building. Construction includes hazardous-material abatement, selective demolition, historic preservation, roofing repairs, mechanical/electrical/HVAC/plumbing upgrades, fire detection and suppression systems, security improvements, accessibility upgrades, interior renovations, and exterior/site improvements.


Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Observe and document daily construction activities for progress, workmanship, quality, safety, and compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contract requirements, submittals, RFIs and approved modifications.
  • Prepare detailed daily construction reports and photographic documentation.
  • Participate in and document Preparatory, Initial and Follow-Up inspections.
  • Review contractor quality-control reports and identify discrepancies or deficiencies.
  • Review submittals, RFIs, material deliveries, record drawings, O&M manuals, warranties and closeout documentation.
  • Assist with cost estimates, contractor proposal reviews, scope changes, change orders and negotiation documentation.
  • Review construction schedules, progress updates, payment requests and work-in-place.
  • Facilitate progress meetings and coordinate with Government representatives, contractors, architects and engineers.
  • Review certified payrolls and assist with labor-compliance documentation.
Requirements:
  • Must have completed OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety training.
  • Must possess demonstrated construction management, construction inspection, superintendent, QA/QC or similar field experience.
  • Must be experienced with renovation/rehabilitation construction and able to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Experience with historic rehabilitation, hazardous-material abatement, federal construction, MEP systems and occupied/public facilities is highly desirable.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Adobe PDF and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with Procore and/or ProjectTeam construction-management software is strongly preferred.
  • Must be physically capable of walking and climbing throughout the construction site daily.
