Medical Assistant
Location: Onsite - Martinsville, NJ and Livingston, NJ (as needed based on business needs)
This role will cover the following Reflections locations:
● Martinsville, NJ
● Livingston, NJ
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $21-24 per hour
Schedule/Availability: Full-time. Must be flexible based on business needs, including both daytime (e.g. 9am-5pm) and evening shifts (e.g. 11am-7pm). All staff are required to work 1-2 Saturdays per month.

Responsibilities:
● Cultivate a safe, secure, and healthy environment for patients and colleagues, and enhance the quality of service and care provided.
● Understand the provider-to-patient flow to better assist physicians and the medical assistant team in maintaining an efficient, productive office.
● Help answer patient questions and address their concerns before, during, and after treatment.
● Update and maintain electronic patient medical records accurately and securely.
● Prepare treatment rooms with necessary injectables and supplies prior to each appointment.
● Directly assist providers during treatments.
● Ensure all lasers and devices are operating and prepped for all treatments.
● Accompany patients to treatment rooms, discussing treatment and medical history to ensure all is documented in EHR.
● Prepare patients for treatment, including blood draws, numbing, cleaning, photos, and consents.
● Maintain accurate EHR patient records for clinical use, billing, and physician review.
● Keep medical supplies well stocked.
● Respond to all patient calls, pharmacy refills, and prior authorizations.
● Take an active role in patient experience and satisfaction.
Requirements & Experience:
Must be able to work at both Reflections locations as needed — Martinsville and Livingston, NJ.
Working hours include both daytime (e.g. 9am-5pm) and evening shifts (e.g. 11am-7pm); all staff are required to work 1-2 Saturdays per month.
● One or more years of experience as a medical assistant at a healthcare facility.
● Excellent communication and organizational skills.
● Working knowledge of patient management software systems.
● Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
● High levels of professionalism and dedication to patient-centered care.
Physical Requirements:
● This position requires frequent walking, sitting, standing, and bending.
● Frequent talking and listening when giving instructions and explanations.
● Frequent use of the phone, computer, and other clinic technologies.
● Must be able to travel between the Martinsville and Livingston locations as needed based on business needs.
