Automotive General Manager in Ashland, Oregon at Butler Ford

Butler Ford is seeking an experienced, driven Automotive General Manager to lead our dealership and team. We are looking for a proven automotive leader who understands how to build a strong culture, develop people, drive performance, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

The General Manager will oversee the overall performance and day-to-day operations of the dealership, working closely with department leaders to achieve sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction across all dealership departments
• Drive overall dealership sales, profitability, and performance
• Develop, coach, and support department managers and team members
• Establish clear goals and hold departments accountable for results
• Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement
• Promote a positive, professional, and results-driven workplace culture
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the dealership
• Oversee staffing, training, and employee development
• Work closely with ownership and senior leadership on dealership goals and initiatives
• Ensure dealership operations follow company policies, manufacturer standards, and applicable regulations

Qualifications:

• Proven automotive dealership management experience
• Strong understanding of dealership operations and financial performance
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams
• Strong business judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Results-driven with a strong focus on accountability
• Ability to balance sales performance, profitability, employee development, and customer experience
• Ford experience is a plus
