UI/UX Designer in Greenville, South Carolina at Vivacity Tech PBC

The UI/UX Designer is responsible for supporting the design, development, and maintenance of websites that are visually consistent, user-friendly, and aligned with organizational brand standards. This role participates in the full web design lifecycle, including concept development, wireframing, page design, and ongoing updates, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver effective digital experiences.

Essential Functions

• Assisting in the creation, design, and maintenance of responsive web pages and layouts
• Collaborating with the development team to ensure seamless integration of visual elements
• Optimizing websites for performance, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness
• Implementing changes and updates to existing websites as needed
• Ensuring consistency in visual branding across digital platforms
• Conducting user experience research and incorporating feedback to enhance usability
• Performing any tasks as required by the company or assigned by a team lead
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for front-end design
• Experience using design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar
• Strong understanding of design principles, including layout, color theory, and typography
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Education & Experience

• Minimum 3 year of relevant experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Additional Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to bend, sit, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Less than 10% travel
