Opportunities available in the heart of Dallas

We are seeking a Pediatric Medical Assistant with a passion for service excellence to join our Pediatric team in the Irving area. The Pediatric MA would support pediatric providers in delivering quality healthcare services to infants, children, and adolescents. This role is responsible for assisting with patient care, performing administrative and clinical duties, preparing patients for examinations, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a welcoming and child-friendly environment for patients and families.

Location: Irving, TX 7200 State Highway 161, Suite 100, Irving, TX 75039

Here's a sneak peek at what you'll do:

  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories
  • Assistpediatric providers during examinations and minor procedures.
  • Administer vaccines and medications as directed by the provider and within scope of practice.
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments, providing excellent customer service to patients;Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and manage patient intake and check-out processes.
  • Assesspatients’conditions by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, respiration, height and weight, and BMI.
  • Perform laboratory tests and other functions
  • Educate parents and caregivers on treatment plans, medications, immunizations, and follow-up care instructions.
  • Manage patient records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support efficient clinic flow with staff already familiar with pediatric workflows and immunization

What you need to succeed

To be a productive member of our team, you will have a pleasant and professional demeanor, be a self-starter, the ability to work independently, strong communication skills, and the ability to preserve confidentiality. You will also have the following:

  • Flexibility to rotate to different clinics
  • Experience with Pediatrics is a plus 
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • Excellent patient engagement and communication skills
  • Knowledge of computers and data entry witha high levelof accuracy
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Burmese, Pashto, Rohingya is a plus
  • eClinicalWorks (EMR) experience preferred
  • BLS/CPR Certification up to date
