Job Summary:
The Food Service Worker supports Ridgecrest’s mission of purposeful hospitality by helping create a positive and welcoming dining experience for guests. This role assists across front-of-house, back-of-house, dish room, outlets, and storeroom areas as needed to ensure smooth meal service and clean, organized workspaces. Team members monitor food levels, assist with food preparation and service, maintain sanitation standards, and help steward food service resources well. This seasonal position is expected to last through November 17, 2026.
Job specific highlights:
- This is a seasonal position beginning in late August and continuing through November 15th, 2027.
- Holidays and weekends are required.
- Starting pay rate is $15.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
Essential Job Duties:
- Monitor food levels and guest counts through the door, working with the manager on duty and kitchen team to ensure adequate levels of fresh food are available.
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized workstations, dining room, kitchen areas, and service spaces.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, food preparation guidelines, and food safety procedures.
- Receive, inspect, and put away food products; ensure products are properly stocked, organized, and within date.
- Clean, stack, and dry pots, pans, kettles, utensils, and other items used by culinary staff.
- Assist in food preparation, serving, dish room, outlets, storeroom, and other food service areas as needed.
- Interact positively with guests and team members, providing exceptional customer service and hospitality.
- Complete other assignments as the Shift Leader and/or Supervisor may deem necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma preferred.
- Previous food and beverage experience preferred, with 0–2 years of related experience acceptable.
- Willing to learn and work in different areas of the Food Service team.
- Flexible, dependable, organized, and able to perform duties in a manner that reflects good stewardship of time and resources.
- Able to work accurately and efficiently in a high-volume setting while maintaining food safety standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be physically able to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
- Must have manual dexterity sufficient to use kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and stoop, squat, and climb as necessary.
