The Senior Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence and analytics solutions using modern data platform technologies. This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, client engagement skills, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
- Build and maintain robust databases, data pipelines, and data lake solutions that support enterprise analytics needs.
- Develop and optimize data transformations, data models, reporting solutions, dashboards, and analytics applications.
- Design and implement scalable data solutions using modern cloud technologies and data engineering best practices.
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand business challenges, gather requirements, and translate needs into technical solutions.
- Participate in all phases of analytics development, including discovery, solution design, implementation, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Apply data engineering methodologies such as ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, anomaly detection, and data quality management.
- Work closely with technical experts and project teams to deliver reliable and effective data platforms.
- Support Agile development practices, continuous integration, and continuous delivery processes.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining focus on customer expectations, deadlines, and solution quality.
- Provide recommendations and proactive improvements to enhance analytics capabilities and business outcomes.

The ideal candidate is an experienced data engineering professional with strong knowledge of cloud-based analytics platforms, modern data architectures, and business intelligence solutions. They should have excellent analytical skills, communication abilities, and a passion for continuous learning.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in data engineering or related data platform roles.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Fabric.
- Strong understanding of modern data platform architectures, including data warehouse, lakehouse, and medallion architecture approaches.
- Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines and scalable data processing solutions.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational database platforms.
- Knowledge of data modeling methodologies, including dimensional modeling and Kimball techniques.
- Familiarity with data profiling, anomaly detection, and data quality practices.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD processes, and collaborative software development environments.
- Growing proficiency with Python for data engineering tasks.
- Understanding of Agile engineering practices and delivery methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Consulting experience is preferred but not required.
