Job Description
Position Summary: The Commercial Parts Specialist has a broad knowledge of commercial truck parts and accessories. He or she can accurately answer customer questions and satisfy any customer requirements in person, through email or on the phone. In addition, he or she would locate commercial truck parts within the current inventory or from other sources online or through vendors or internal dealerships and arrange them for pickup, delivery and or installation. He or she will also be responsible for monitoring parts inventory to ensure that what is needed is on hand. In addition, he or she will be responsible for communicating with customers regarding the status of their orders, and any other issues or questions they might ask.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Monitors parts inventory and reports discrepancies to Parts ManagerUpdates customers on all current promotions and promotes all new productsMonitors retail zone and replenishes stocking levels of products on display and reports out of stock products in the retail zone immediately to the Parts ManagerMaintains professional appearance of the retail zoneGreets walk-in customers in a friendly manner and acknowledges their presence if they are on a phone callAssists customers with pickup of heavy or oversized products when necessaryCollects payment for special order parts prior to orderingAdvises customers on warranty of productsExhausts all resources to fulfill customer demandRecords lost sales when customer demand cannot be filledAdvises customers about any back orders or delays to their ordersContacts customers when their order has been receivedEnsures customer accounts are invoiced accuratelyAttends all department meetings and huddles on timeProvide excellent customer experienceLocate parts and accessories and arrange for pick-up, delivery and or installationMaintain accurate sales documentationMaintain up-to-date knowledge of all vehicles, accessories and promotionsMaintain personal work area in a clean and organized mannerMonitor parts inventory and maintain storage area in good conditionPerform other duties as assignedQualifications: High school or GED requiredPrevious work experience in related fields preferredWorking knowledge of the industryExcellent communication skills, customer service skills, and problem-solving skillsAbility to maintain composure during high stress situationsStrong organizational skillsHighly professional and dependableStrong computer and internet skills
