Job Description
The Receptionist/Client Support role manages administrative, communication, and organizational tasks to keep the office running smoothly. This person is also the first point of contact for the business and is expected to be warm, professional, and welcoming to any clients, visitors, and vendors who come to our place of business.
Requirements:• Communication: Answer phone calls, reply to emails, and direct messages to the right people.
• Record Keeping: Maintain filing systems, update databases, and handle paperwork.
• Discretion: Handle sensitive and confidential company data responsibly.
• Office Management: Order supplies, support management for meetings on site, organize consultant biosecurity products.
• Data Entry: Input all transactions, including incoming purchases into inventory and all sales made. Learn the Standard Nutrition operating systems.
• Newsletter Organization: Work with the printer to finalize and proofread the monthly newsletter, and coordinate with staff to submit articles in a timely manner.
• Test Feed and Send Results: Follow protocols to test feed samples and collect results to be sent to consultants and customers.
• Inventory Management: Complete inventory counts monthly in Sioux Falls and reconcile any differences.
• Courtesy/Hospitality: Coordinate the courtesy vehicle schedule and other hospitality programs for customers coming to Sioux Falls, and serve as a warm, welcoming point of contact for any clients visiting our place of business.
• Warehouse Support: Operate a forklift to unload pallets as feed and other delivery trucks arrive; no prior experience needed, training provided.
Qualifications & Skills
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Professional, friendly demeanor with strong customer service and hospitality instincts.
• High level of discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information including pricing and product sourcing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace, and general office hardware.
• Comfort with data entry and basic recordkeeping/database tools.
• Willingness to learn to safely operate a forklift; no prior experience required, as training will be provided.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift after training.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods while receiving, unloading, and organizing inventory.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while performing administrative and computer-based tasks.
• Manual dexterity sufficient for data entry, filing, and operating general office equipment.
• Visual acuity sufficient for reading documents, computer screens, and inventory labels.
• Ability to occasionally climb on/off warehouse or delivery equipment as needed.
Work Environment
This position splits time between a standard office environment and warehouse/receiving areas. Occasional exposure to loading dock conditions, dust, and varying temperatures should be expected when receiving deliveries or completing inventory.
