Job Description

Cardiology/Radiology Services Coordinator

  • Also, may include Hours: 730 - 1600.
  • DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
    • The Cardiology/Radiology Services Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and supervising interventional schedule including scheduled patients as well as add ons in all Radiology and Cardiology Cath modalities. He/She must be able enter all EP device information into meditech. Will interact with Radiologist, Cardiologist, PA, nursing, rad. techs, imaging support staff, interventional scheduling, community providers and hospital staff. Must be able to coordinate the experiences of the patient while in our care. In addition, he/she will provide clerical support and perform other duties as needed
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 3 years experience with competency with scheduling.
      • Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
      • Excellent written and oral, plus organizational skills.
    • Education and Training:
      • Associate degree in secretarial program preferred or equivalent experience preferred.
      • Certified medical assistant preferred or equivalent experience.
      • Medical terminology and knowledge of EP, Cardiac cath, interventional procedures/instrumentation/equipment/paperwork required. Familiarity with computers and compiling statistics required.
    • License, Certification & Registration:
      • CPR is required.
    • Other Requirements:
      • Ability to coordinate numerous schedules. Must be able to demonstrate advance skills with MEDITECH Module--including statistics and reports. Excel experience required. Ability to prioritize numerous tasks.
      • Demonstrated ability to interact with nurses, techs patients/families, providers, office staff and BMC departments in a gracious, polite and respectful manner.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
      • Ability to problem solve in conjunction with other team members.
      • Must demonstrate professional behavior and appearance.
