Job Description

Company Overview:

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) system engineering and information technology firm. Incorporated in 1999, we support mission critical Information Technology (IT) business needs for clients within the intelligence community (IC), Department of Defense (DOD), Veteran Administration (VA) and for select commercial clients. ACET, Inc.’s technical, programmatic, and analytical professionals are experts in commercial technology, customized solutions, and proprietary government systems.

The Position:

This position is awaiting contract award.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Technician to support organizational-level (O-Level) material control and logistics operations for the F/A-18 variants assigned to NAS JRB Fort Worth.

Operating within the squadron’s Material Control division, you will manage the procurement, receipt, storage, tracking, and issue of critical aircraft components, repairable parts, consumable items, and hazardous materials. This role requires tight coordination with Maintenance Control, the local Aviation Supply Department (ASD), and maintenance shops to minimize aircraft down-time due to parts starvation.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Control & Material Procurement

  • Requisition, receive, inspect, inventory, and issue aircraft parts, aviation support equipment, tools, and consumable supplies required for F/A-18 operations.
  • Initiate and track high-priority parts requests for Mission Impaired Capability Awaiting Parts (MICAP) or Non-Mission Capable Supply (NMCS) situations.
  • Process and track repairable components through the Depot Level Repairable (DLR) system, ensuring fast return cycles for carcass tracking.
  • Utilize military logistics and supply databases (NALCOMIS / OOMA / ERP) to accurately manage material workflows and maintain database integrity.

Warehouse Logistics & Auditing

  • Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly physical inventory counts and spot audits to ensure absolute inventory accuracy across all storage areas.
  • Properly package, label, and document outgoing shipments, hazardous materials (HAZMAT), and components requiring electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection.
  • Manage the squadron's hazardous material locker (HAZMAT tracking), verifying compliance with safety data sheets (SDS) and storage protocols.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate daily with Maintenance Control, Quality Assurance, and shop supervisors to provide real-time statuses on pending parts delivery dates.
  • Coordinate material pickups and drop-offs directly with the base Aviation Supply Department (ASD) and commercial freight carriers.
  • Maintain clean, organized supply spaces, tool rooms, and material holding bays to ensure compliance with occupational safety codes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in military aviation supply, material control, or logistics—ideally within a U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps O-level squadron environment.
  • Hands-on operational experience with NALCOMIS, OOMA, or Navy ERP supply modules.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) protocols (COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series) related to Material Control.
  • Must possess and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance to access base logistics networks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Graduation from a military aviation supply school (e.g., USN/USMC LS or AK "A" school) is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience handling F/A-18 Hornet or Super Hornet platform parts and assemblies.
  • Valid Forklift Operator Certification or ability to qualify upon hire.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver boxes, parts, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds independently.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and climb warehouse ladders for extended periods.
  • Comfort working in a mix of climate-controlled office spaces, open warehouse environments, and outdoor staging areas.

Why Join ACET:

ACET continues to expand its aerospace and aviation sustainment operations supporting multiple Department of Defense aviation platforms worldwide. This position provides the opportunity to directly shape strategic sustainment growth initiatives while supporting operational readiness and mission success across the global aviation enterprise.
