Account Management, Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Account Management, Manager based in India.

As an Account Management Manager, you’ll lead a team dedicated to building, maintaining, and expanding relationships with key B2B clients. You’ll combine people leadership with strategic account management, helping strengthen customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term value. The role gives you ownership of account planning, growth opportunities, escalations, renewals, and executive-level client engagement. You’ll use account performance data and customer insights to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for expansion. Close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Support teams will be essential to delivering a seamless client experience. This is a dynamic leadership opportunity for an experienced account management professional who enjoys developing people while driving measurable commercial and customer outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Account Managers, supporting their professional development, performance, engagement, and achievement of team objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans designed to retain and grow a portfolio of key client accounts, with a focus on long-term relationships, customer satisfaction, and customer lifetime value.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for client issues, ensuring concerns are addressed promptly and effectively while maintaining strong levels of customer satisfaction and trust.
  • Proactively identify upselling, cross-selling, renewal, and expansion opportunities by understanding evolving client needs and aligning them with relevant products and services.
  • Monitor account health and client performance metrics, analyze trends, and prepare regular reports that provide actionable insights and support informed account decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Support, and other internal teams to deliver seamless client experiences and achieve broader business objectives.
  • Lead negotiations related to contracts, renewals, and service agreements, balancing client needs with sustainable commercial outcomes.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, competitive dynamics, and client-specific business challenges in order to provide relevant strategic guidance and solutions.
  • Represent the organization in important client meetings, presentations, and relevant industry events, strengthening relationships and identifying opportunities for deeper engagement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required, while an MBA is considered an advantage.
  • At least 7 years of experience in account management, client success, or a similar client-facing function is required, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Demonstrated success managing and growing key client accounts within a B2B SaaS, technology, or comparable digital services environment is essential.
  • Strong understanding of web hosting, domain registration, digital marketing, online services, or closely related technology solutions is highly valuable.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are required, with the ability to explain complex products and solutions clearly and persuasively to different audiences.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including senior client contacts and internal business leaders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are important, along with a data-driven approach to account planning, customer health, retention, and growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
  • A collaborative working style and the ability to operate independently while coordinating effectively with multiple internal teams are essential.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite are required.
