Job Description

SUMMARY

The position of Marketing and Communications Specialist is a partner to Line-of-Business leaders to develop and execute compliant, brand-aligned marketing strategies, integrated campaigns, communications, and community initiatives across traditional, digital, and social channels.

In addition, the Marketing and Communications Specialist assures compliance with all SVB policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Partners with Market Presidents, Line-of-Business Leaders and other internal stakeholders to understand business needs and support the development and execution of appropriate marketing strategies and initiatives.
2. Develops messaging, content and communications supporting Bank products, campaigns, organizational initiatives and customer engagement across marketing channels.
3. Develops and coordinates integrated campaign messaging, communication plans, creative needs and supporting materials in alignment with established business and marketing strategies.
4. Supports community partnerships, sponsorships, and market activities. Identifies opportunities to extend their value through communications, promotions, storytelling and brand visibility.
5. Supports consistent brand voice, messaging and visual standards across communications and materials; provides creative/design capability for routine marketing needs.
6. Coordinates assigned projects, stakeholder needs and external resources; support campaign execution across traditional, digital and social channels; and use testing, performance results and customer insights to evaluate effectiveness and improve future marketing efforts.
7. Work closely with compliance teams to ensure that all marketing materials adhere to regulatory requirements.


SECONDARY DUTIES

The position of Marketing and Communications Specialist performs duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

The position of Marketing and Communications Specialist is not responsible for the supervision of any employee(s).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.

• Degree in Marketing or a related field, plus two to five years’ experience, banking experience is a plus but not required.

• Advanced knowledge in all Microsoft products.

• Understanding of multi-channel campaign strategies and content creation.

• Analytical and strategic thinking skills.

• Ability to make data-driven decisions.

• Working knowledge of design suite programs; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.

• Interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as a member of a fast-paced marketing team.

• Copy writing and proofreading skills.

• Organizational, time management, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.

• Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.

The incumbent must be able to perform this position safely, without endangering the health or safety to him/herself or others.

Salary Range: $21.00 - $28.00 an hour depending on experience
