Job Description
Equivity is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to support attorneys and law firms nationwide. This flexible, remote role is ideal for paralegals who enjoy working with multiple legal teams and managing a variety of family law matters.
This is an assignment-based W-2 position (not 1099). Assignments and workload may vary based on client demand, making this an excellent opportunity for professionals who value flexibility and are comfortable with a workload that can fluctuate over time rather than a guaranteed number of hours from the outset.
Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, petitions, motions, and proposed orders
- Prepare financial disclosures and discovery documents
- Coordinate e-filing, service of process, and court deadlines
- Manage calendars, hearings, mediations, and case files
- Support client communication and intake
- Maintain matters in Clio or similar legal software
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in at least one of the following:
- Divorce
- Child Custody
- Paternity
- Modifications
- Child Support
- Adoptions
- Dependency
- Experience drafting legal documents and managing case deadlines
- Familiarity with Clio, Filevine, MyCase, PracticePanther, or similar software
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Availability for at least 20 hours per week
- Ability to respond within one hour during stated availability

- Multi-state family law experience
- Clio Manage and/or Clio Grow experience
