Security Supervisor - Office in Houston, Texas at Memorial City Mall LTD

SUMMARY:

The Security Supervisor is responsible for directly overseeing the Office Security Ambassador program for all MetroNational properties. Previous experience in retail/commercial environments is preferred with an understanding of security operations, facility management, incident response, and life safety systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees the daily operation of the Security Ambassador program for the Office Ambassadors

deployment and utilization of security solutions and incident management and response

• Supports the security force in the absence of both the Security Managers and Director of Security

• Shall assume the duties and responsibilities of a Security Ambassador, as necessary

• Engages, motivates, and supports all security ambassadors to ensure proactive implementation of the MetroNational Brand

Service Standards

• Reviews and submits all Incident Reports daily, ensuring incident documentation is accurate and sufficiently detailed

• Shall ensure the proper training of all post orders, standard operating procedures (SOPs), technology and other site-specific

needs for all Security Ambassadors

• Ensures the security team’s primary responsibilities of securing designated posts and patrolling facilities are carried out in a

professional manner within company/state guidelines

• Assist scheduling with filling posts from absences. Shall redeploy security resources as developing conditions may dictate

• Shall conduct shift briefings for security team members prior to each shift

• Notifies the Security Manager(s) and Director of Security of significant events

• Conducts performance coaching and counseling to promote technical proficiency, to inspire positive attitudes, and to ensure

professionalism

• Responds to Incident scenes. Shadows the Security Ambassador on scene assuring proper information is collected and service

standards are maintained. Shall escalate an incident response, as necessary

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma required

• Bachelor's degree preferred

• 2+ years of previous supervisory experience in security or 5+ years of previous security experience with evidence of growth and

education in the security field

• Previous experience in real-estate environments is preferred

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Working knowledge of physical and electronic security systems

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments to achieve desired outcomes within established time schedules and to function

calmly and effectively during times of emergencies are required

• Possess excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills

• Must be able to discern suspicious behavior via monitoring equipment and be well-versed in dispatching appropriate responses

to suspicious activities

• Must have excellent ability to deescalate and manage escalating situations

• Exercises good judgement and initiative

• Working knowledge of computer software and Microsoft office
