Job Description
As an Assistant Manager of Document Management, you will assist in managing the Document Management team. Your role will include coordinating workflows and the activity of the team, participating in department processes and responsibilities. You will work with management to assist with hiring, training, performance management, development, and maintain assigned desk duties within the Document Management team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manages and coordinates the work activities of the team. Serves as the primary resource for the Document Management unit with questions on new business, metrics, and team-related processes.
- Manages employment issues such as hiring, disciplining, and conducting performance appraisals of team members.
- Assists team and other departments’ staff to ensure a highly responsive, time-sensitive, service-oriented environment designed to enhance customer relationships.
- Develops and acquires working knowledge of all phases of Document Management processes.
- Main contact for the team to research problems as needed, and if necessary, coordinates updates in systems.
- Serves as the primary resource for conducting and coordinating testing of system updates and enhancements of Document Management processes.
- Responsible for coordinating initial training of new team members; conducts and coordinates on-the-job and in-service training. Responsible for making sure procedures are kept up to date as well.
- Associate’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience required.
- 3-5+ years in a leadership role or equivalent working experience.
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills with a strong affinity for detail-oriented work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft software including Word and Excel.
- Successful completion of LOMA Principles and Operations courses is desired within 2-years of placement.
