POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Generalist position providing support to the accounting and operations teams to include but not limited to:
    • Treasury – Provide back up and support for treasury functions
      • Receive and post deposits/wires in SoftPro
      • Verify and research discrepancies
      • Identify and document root cause issues
      • Process checks/wires for all attorney approved disbursements
      • Reconcile bank accounts within multiple systems and banks
    • Accounts Payable - Provide back up and support for accounts payable
      • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
      • Sort and distribute incoming mail and email
      • Process check requests
      • Respond to all vendor and operation inquiries
      • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
      • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately
    • Reconciling balance sheet accounts
      • Prepare monthly reconciliations
      • Research and resolve unreconciled items
    • Maintaining and reconciling fixed asset subsidiary ledgers
      • Assist in reconciling subsidiary ledger by physical location

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred
  • Must have strong work ethics & willing to work late if required to get the job done
  • Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
  • Must be well organized and a self-starter
  • Must be able to follow standard filing procedures
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
  • Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to efficiently plan and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Possess good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Overall positive attitude and willingness to adapt to change
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Team player and willing to provide assistance in multiple areas whenever is necessary

  • Must be proficient in software tools, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
