Job Summary
The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations in restaurants, bars, banquets, or other dining outlets to ensure exceptional guest service, efficient workflows, and adherence to company standards. This role supports management by supervising staff, maintaining service quality, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management- Supervise day-to-day food and beverage operations.
- Ensure smooth service flow during shifts, including peak hours.
- Monitor cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards (health codes, sanitation, etc.).
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members to deliver excellent service.
- Assign duties and manage staff schedules.
- Train new employees on company policies, service standards, and procedures.
- Address employee performance issues and provide feedback.
- Ensure guests receive prompt, courteous, and high-quality service.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues quickly.
- Maintain a strong focus on enhancing the guest experience.
- Monitor stock levels of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Assist with ordering and inventory management.
- Help minimize waste and control costs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Uphold company policies, brand standards, and service guidelines.
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist management with reporting (sales, labor, inventory).
- Maintain records, logs, and shift reports.
- Support promotions, events, and special functions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in food and beverage or hospitality.
- Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
- Good organizational and multitasking skills.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- May involve lifting and carrying supplies.
