Direct Support Professional- North Platte- Multiple Openings! in North Platte, Nebraska at Hands Of Heartland

Hands of Heartland is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our team and provide support to the individuals we support as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in North Platte, NE.

What You’ll Do: Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings to ensure they have a meaningful life. As a DSP you will assist individuals with day to day living activities and developing skills in a home environment and in community settings.

Location: North Platte, NE.

Shifts:

• Evenings
• Overnights
• All shifts require working every other weekend.

Hours:

• Full-time and part-time hours available
• Evening hours: 4p-12a
• Overnight hours: 12a-8a

Skillset Needed for the Job: Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible and willing to adapt to change. Know the value of communication. Desire to support people and encourage them to reach goals. Understand the importance of documentation.

Personality Traits: Empathy. Patience. Understanding. Compassion. Adaptable. Respectful. Dependable. Sound Judgement.

Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to pass all background checks. Must have a valid driver’s license. Experience not required – we will train you!

Pay: Starting pay is $17 an hour. We offer competitive compensation based on current CNA certification and relevant experience. Active CNAs are eligible to receive CEUs towards their license to keep it active while working as a DSP!
