This role sits within a dynamic Logistics ANZ team supporting safe, reliable, and cost-effective fuel distribution across Australia.
You will use data, financial modelling, and logistics expertise to improve network performance, costs, and operational efficiency.
The position combines analytical ownership with close collaboration across carriers, sales teams, finance, and technology stakeholders.
You will manage freight rates, forecasting, reporting, payment validation, and commercial analysis while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
The role offers exposure to complex logistics networks spanning ground fuels and aviation fuels, with opportunities to influence important commercial decisions.
You will primarily support Australia while also contributing to New Zealand activities and providing cross-market coverage when required.
This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and commercially minded professional who enjoys turning complex data into practical business solutions.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the Australian logistics network, including carriers, operating regions, terminals, supply points, fleet types, delivery models, and business segments.
  • Maintain accurate carrier and supply-point mappings, including truck types, delivery models, and regional coverage.
  • Assess logistics models, supply impacts, and network constraints to support customer onboarding and operational planning.
  • Manage freight rate requests for new customers through Salesforce, coordinating with third-party carriers to obtain, validate, and consolidate accurate rates.
  • Act as a key point of contact for carriers regarding freight rates, clarifications, confirmations, tender outcomes, and related commercial discussions.
  • Maintain carrier rate outcomes and tender records, including won and lost opportunities, and provide structured monthly feedback on tender decisions.
  • Calculate and distribute monthly fuel issue rates in accordance with approved escalation methodologies.
  • Prepare and submit AdBlue sales and volume reports in line with applicable Australian regulatory requirements.
  • Review existing carrier freight rates to ensure cost recoveries remain aligned with contractual and commercial agreements.
  • Conduct annual carrier freight rate reviews using Distribution Cost Index models, fuel issue data, and carrier inputs.
  • Review transfer and pairing reports to validate freight costs and expected payments, investigate discrepancies, and support resolution of carrier payment queries.
  • Clear suspense items by providing missing or corrected rate information in collaboration with logistics and finance teams.
  • Build and maintain logistics financial forecasts, including annual logistics planning, using sales forecasts, DCI models, and issue assumptions.
  • Provide logistics cost and volume data to support pricing strategies, tenders, customer evaluations, and commercial decisions.
  • Assess logistics costs, risks, and operational feasibility for tenders and new customer opportunities, including inputs for commercial and credit reviews.
  • Conduct ad hoc logistics and operational analysis to identify cost-optimisation opportunities and support business decision-making.
  • Review loading and unloading performance using carrier and terminal data and identify trends or opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Use SAP, Salesforce, Power BI, and other logistics systems to manage freight rates, reporting, forecasting, and payment validation.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports that turn logistics data into meaningful trends, insights, and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Logistics Analyst supporting New Zealand to improve performance and maintain alignment across the ANZ region, including providing leave cover when required.
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in any discipline, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Data, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations, including transportation, logistics, storage, and distribution.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, manage, analyse, and maintain large datasets and analytical models that support problem-solving, decision-making, and optimisation.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills, with the ability to create meaningful analysis, reporting, dashboards, and visualisations.
  • Previous experience with SAP, particularly SAP PRE or SAP Ariba, and Salesforce is desirable.
  • Experience or strong knowledge of logistics operations, freight pricing, carrier management, financial forecasting, and commercial analysis.
  • Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, with excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Effective communication skills and confidence working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including customers, carriers, sales teams, and finance partners.
  • Ability to simplify complex analytical findings and communicate them clearly to non-technical or commercial audiences.
  • Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to assess both short-term impacts and longer-term business implications.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities, work across multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
  • Curious and proactive approach, with a demonstrated drive to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to evaluate problems objectively and use data to develop and compare practical alternatives.
  • Comfortable working independently while maintaining strong collaboration with regional and global stakeholders.
  • Strong judgement, adaptability, and organisational skills in a fast-paced business environment.
Benefits:
  • Full-time position with a hybrid office/remote working model.
  • Based in Pune, India.
  • Working hours aligned to Australian business operations: 3:00 AM – 12:00 PM IST.
  • Opportunity to work with an international logistics and commercial team supporting operations across Australia and New Zealand.
