The Strategic Account Manager will own the development and growth of key data center customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders while coordinating internal resources to deliver impactful solutions. This role requires strong strategic thinking, consultative selling skills, and the ability to connect customer priorities with advanced technology solutions.
- Represent a broad portfolio of automation, industrial software, digital transformation, power management, and infrastructure solutions for strategic data center customers.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with executive leaders responsible for data center operations, infrastructure, sustainability, energy management, and digital transformation.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to increase solution adoption and expand business opportunities across global customer environments.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities related to facility operations, power distribution, cooling systems, automation, monitoring, cybersecurity, and operational optimization.
- Lead executive-level conversations focused on business outcomes such as uptime, efficiency, sustainability, resilience, and risk reduction.
- Coordinate with sales teams, engineering groups, product organizations, and technical specialists to provide a unified customer experience.
- Support customers through expansion, modernization, and transformation initiatives by providing industry insights and technology guidance.
- Develop customer success stories, reference architectures, and strategic initiatives that demonstrate measurable value.
- Mentor sales colleagues and contribute to best practices for executive-level account management.
- Travel approximately 25–50% to support customer engagements, strategic planning sessions, and relationship development.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in strategic account management, enterprise sales, and mission-critical technology environments. They should be comfortable engaging senior executives, managing complex sales cycles, and translating business challenges into technology-driven solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- 5+ years of sales experience supporting data centers, critical infrastructure, cloud, colocation, energy management, industrial technology, or related industries.
- 3+ years of experience managing strategic enterprise accounts and developing long-term customer partnerships.
- Strong understanding of data center operations, including power systems, electrical distribution, cooling infrastructure, asset management, resilience, and uptime requirements.
- Experience selling automation, software, digital transformation, monitoring, analytics, or infrastructure optimization solutions.
- Proven ability to engage executive stakeholders and influence technology investment decisions.
- Strong consultative selling skills with experience aligning customer goals to business and operational outcomes.
- Demonstrated success managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and global teams.
- Experience leading cross-functional collaboration across sales, engineering, services, and support organizations.
- Familiarity with emerging trends such as AI-ready infrastructure, digital twins, sustainability, industrial cybersecurity, and intelligent infrastructure management.
- Valid authorization to work in the United States and a valid driver’s license.
- Competitive total target compensation ranging from approximately $158,000 to $237,000 annually, including base salary and variable compensation.
