Position Overview

CIBHS is seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and mission-driven Associate to support consulting projects and statewide behavioral health initiatives, including training and technical assistance projects, learning collaboratives, community engagement activities, and third-party administration services.

In this role, you will contribute to the successful implementation of population-based prevention initiatives by supporting project management, community partnerships, advisory councils and governance activities, stakeholder engagement, implementation monitoring, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement. You will collaborate with community-based organizations, Tribal partners, public agencies, subject matter experts, and people with lived and living experience to help advance equitable, culturally responsive, and community-defined approaches to behavioral health prevention.

This position plays an integral role in strengthening California's behavioral health prevention infrastructure through cross-sector collaboration, implementation support, knowledge sharing, and data informed decision-making, while ensuring projects align with organizational priorities and the goals of the Community-Defined Behavioral Health Initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination, implementation, and continuous improvement of our work on behavioral health initiatives, training and technical assistance projects, learning collaboratives, and third-party administration services.
• Coordinate project activities, timelines, deliverables, meetings, trainings, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful project implementation.
• Develop, organize, and maintain project materials, documentation, reports, training resources, evaluation tools, and other program deliverables.
• Support engagement with internal staff, community partners, public agencies, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to advance project goals and strengthen collaborative partnerships.
• Assist with advisory groups, governance meetings, community engagement activities, and other collaborative forums.
• Contribute to the planning, coordination, and delivery of virtual and in-person trainings, meetings, webinars, technical assistance activities, and learning events.
• Support data collection, implementation monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Assist with the development and dissemination of resources, tools, best practices, and knowledge products that support organizational learning and capacity building.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with project teams to ensure quality, accountability, and timely completion of project objectives.
• Participate in organizational meetings, professional development opportunities, conferences, and other activities that support the mission and strategic priorities of CIBHS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, psychology, social work, public health, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting training, technical assistance, project coordination, program implementation, or similar work in a team-based professional environment.
• Familiarity with behavioral health, healthcare, public health, human services, education, nonprofit, or government-funded programs.
• Demonstrated project management abilities, preferably in the behavioral health sector.
• Experience developing or editing training materials, reports, toolkits, presentations, or other project resources.
• Experience coordinating or supporting virtual and in-person trainings, webinars, meetings, learning collaboratives, or consultation sessions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Experience using project management tools, virtual meeting platforms, survey/evaluation tools, learning management systems, and document collaboration platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

• $77,000 - $89,000 per year

Work Location and Schedule

This is a full-time remote position. The candidate must reside in California and be available for periodic travel within California and nationwide for meetings, trainings, conferences, or project-related activities. Travel may include air travel and overnight stays.
