Product Applications Scientist

Gator Bio is at the forefront of biolayer interferometry (BLI) technology, delivering real-time, label-free analysis systems to support breakthroughs in biomolecular interactions. The Product Applications Scientist reports to the Associate Director of Customer Success. This position will be responsible for enabling successful customer adoption and utilization of Gator systems through technical application support, customer training, workflow optimization, and troubleshooting. This role partners closely with customers and internal teams to resolve technical challenges, improve user experience, and ensure successful implementation of applications. This position serves as a technical resource for post-sales activities, supporting customers throughout their product lifecycle while providing insights to improve product performance, documentation, and customer outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Technical Support & Application Enablement

  • Provide post-sales technical support to customers through troubleshooting, application guidance, and workflow optimization.

  • Partner with customers to identify root causes of application or instrumentation challenges and recommend solutions.

  • Support users in achieving successful implementation and continued utilization of the system.

  • Translate customer feedback and technical challenges into actionable recommendations for internal teams.

Customer Training & Education

  • Delivering customer training programs, including instrument/application workflows, best practices, and troubleshooting approaches.

  • Support onboarding activities to improve customer confidence and product adoption.

  • Create and maintain technical training materials, applications guides, and support documentation.

Technical Application Support

  • Provide expertise in product applications, assay workflows and technical processes.

  • Troubleshoot complex application-related and instrument-related issues and coordinate resolution with internal technical teams when needed.

  • Identify recurring technical challenges and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support documentation and standardization of technical workflows.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with FAS, FSE, Product Management, and R&D teams to improve customer outcomes.

  • Provide customer insight and application feedback to support product improvements.

  • Participate in internal knowledge sharing and technical initiatives.

Other responsibilities

  • All job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of M.S. or equivalent experience in biology, biochemistry, or related field.

  • Hands-on experience running standard biochemical and biophysical analysis techniques such as ELISA, SPR or other label-free analysis tools.

  • Strong understanding of biological application and technical troubleshooting.

  • Experience training users, supporting customers, or developing technical content.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

  • Previous experience with CRM is a plus.

  • Highly organized and able to work independently.
