What You'll Do
As a Scheduling Coordinator, you'll be responsible for coordinating provider schedules, maintaining appointment accuracy, and supporting the daily operations of our mobile healthcare team.
Daily Responsibilities
- Schedule and maintain provider appointments based on patient care plans, clinician availability, and productivity goals
- Coordinate daily patient visits and optimize provider schedules
- Enter referrals, patient demographics, employee information, and visit schedules into the EMR
- Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
- Communicate scheduling updates with providers and clinical staff
- Provide scheduling support for staff absences, vacations, and leaves of absence
- Monitor schedule changes and adjust appointments as needed
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient patient care delivery
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and company policies
Qualifications
Required
- Some college
- Minimum one (1) year of scheduling, medical office, or healthcare administrative experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based scheduling systems
Preferred
- Associate degree
- Medical office scheduling experience
- Experience in home health, primary care, or mobile healthcare
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
