Girl Scouts Louisiana East is looking for an energetic and dependable Program Facilitator to bring engaging Girl Scout activities to girls at schools, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other local sites.
This is a flexible, active position for someone who enjoys variety, connecting with young people, and being part of meaningful nonprofit work. No two days are exactly the same!
What You’ll Do (overview)
- Lead fun, age-appropriate Girl Scout activities using prepared lesson plans and materials.
- Engage small and large groups of girls at schools and community locations.
- Prepare, transport, set up, and organize program supplies.
- Create a welcoming, positive, and inclusive experience for participants.
- Track attendance and complete required program documentation.
- Communicate with site contacts and the Community Program Specialist.
- Participate in training and help provide program coverage as scheduled.
Schedule: Hours vary based on scheduled programs and may include:
- Daytime hours
- After-school programs
- Early evenings
- Saturday or Sunday events
The varied schedule is ideal for someone seeking flexible part-time work that combines youth activities, community involvement, and limited remote administrative tasks.
What You’ll Need (minimum requirements)
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience working with youth or students through schools, camps, youth ministry, clubs, community service, or similar programs.
- Confidence speaking to and leading groups.
- Strong communication, organization, and reliability.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance.
- Ability to travel to program locations and lift or move materials weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Nonprofit, volunteer, or Girl Scout experience is a plus. Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.
