The primary responsibility of the Retail Sales Associate is to maintain outstanding customer service, uphold our Core
Values, generate sales, merchandise products and support the store management team. The Floor Supervisor also
ensures that Floor Associates perform their duties and responsibilities to company standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Floor Associates report to Floor Supervisor
Duties and Responsibilities
- Know and perform the Seven Steps of Customer Service
- Stock and maintain assigned area of store
- Answer phones with a confident attitude, willing to help the customer in whatever way necessary.
- Complete customer transactions, charge, cash and returns accurately.
- Aid customers in locating merchandising in store, and online, as well as, processing special orders
- Continue to grow and expand product knowledge.
- Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
- Execute the daily operational, day to day goals and priorities assigned by store management.
- Participate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and back stock area clean
and organized.
- Maintain communication between other sales associates and departments.
- Keep updated on new technology and products in the hardware and building industries.
- Understand competitors and their practices.
- Be a team player and foster a team atmosphere.

Minimum Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED.
- At least one year's retail leadership and supervisory experience
- Experience: Sales and marketing experience with retail programs, establishing relationships, and working with
customers
- Skills/Knowledge: Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word, and Excel is a plus.

- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the

Physical Requirements
- Able to lift at least 30 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Able to stand for 8 hours a day
- Standing, stretching, squatting, lifting, crouching, kneeling, and other awkward positions.
- Climbing and descending ladders.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions.
